Paradise is a three-stage piece focused on the experimentation of layer styles, combination of photographed environments with illustrative elements, and moving towards a thoughtful and sometimes sombre approach to greater subjects.Paradise places a variation on contemporary design trends by mixing semi-realism with an abstract application.

Using a Sydney hotel interior as the setting with electric colours and a semi-realistic art style for the illustration, this series follows and analyses elements of contemporary design and art, with the mix of realistic and embellishing assets creating a sense of unreality, even an urban whimsy or dreamscape. This style of design could be utilised for promotion of causes related to social issues or concepts for narrative media.
