mospha

This science-fiction inspired display typeface is the first full one I’ve created, with its emphasised angle cuts and sleek design allowing it to be used beyond type, and as a design tool of its own. With the concept art of the main sheet in mind and its purpose in telling a story, Mospha appeals to both nostalgic design aspects and narratives/ideas of the future.



It is named after ‘atmosphere’, which was the philosophy I had in mind for this typeface. Fully legible to use as subtitle text while distinctive in structure for display, its main purpose is to help spark imagination in a viewer - especially when used with ethereal concepts. Mospha marks the culmination of my design concept development and typography skills up to this point, and is a standard for future projects to create and pursue.
